An iPhone Case for a custom cafe racer? The concept electric motorcycle CR-Dos – Ghost may take home the crown with its transparent, plastic-like panels fitted around the engine of its body to let passersby peer inside and serve as a sort of anti-heat protection sleeve to ward off the rider from getting burned.

With just a hard look, viewers can see the inside of the custom cafe racer by Gurmukh Bhasin and find a series of curved, continuous wires found in electric ovens, grills, and appliances. It lights up like a portable heater, emitting an orange glow as the engine of the concept electric motorcycle revs and gears up.

The shape of the custom cafe racer’s engine may recall that of a computer or PC case because of the thin outer shell that first slopes downward before completing its edgy form. Just like a custom computer or PC case, the inside glows in the dark in sunset lighting whenever it is on. Gurmukh Bhasin says that the CR-Dos – Ghost is his second personal motorcycle concept design.

Cafe racer with seating that looks like deck chair

Aside from the transparent panels of Gurmukh Bhasin’s CR-Dos – Ghost, the other sleek design elements draw attention to the custom cafe racer. The leather-covered-looking seating reminds one of the forms of a foldable deck chair, small but comfy enough to accommodate the rider. The rear part of the electric motorcycle is elongated to make way for the bigger rear wheel whose tire is closed and covered, and the long seemingly red-colored motorcycle chain whirs and rotates as the rider takes the vehicle for a ride.

Different lighting sets the illumination setting for the custom cafe racer. At the back of the concept electric motorcycle, a stark red lighting signals vehicles behind to stop, while cool-blue lighting projects its beam at the front, blasting its glow on the path the CR-Dos – Ghost is taking. So far, the custom cafe racer is still a concept, and Gurmukh Bhasin says that he intended to design an electric motorbike with transparent panels to show off its inside.

‘I originally designed the tire as a fun little test on an idea I had in my head. That design led to designing the wheel and eventually turned into creating the entire motorbike. I had fun celebrating the structural elements, playing with materials, and creating a complex layering of parts and shapes,’ he says.
