Harnessing the material’s properties of structural integrity and low environmental impact, the studio poses a sustainable alternative to traditional urns with a product that can sturdily store ashes, yet dissolve in water or soil within a matter of days and transform into a natural fertilizer. As such, Sail encapsulates an environmentally respectful approach to a profound moment: the end of life — a concept the studio refers to as ‘smart dying’.
