In time for Japan Mobility Show 2023, taking place between October 26th and November 5th, Nissan reveals its concept sports SUV, Hyper Adventure, whose large-capacity battery doubles as an energy source that allows users to power up their gadgets, light up campsites, or even recharge their electric jet skis. Its V2X (vehicle-to-everything) capability can also power homes (V2H) or a local community by contributing surplus power to the grid (V2G).

Since it can charge other vehicles, Nissan has designed an expansive interior for its sports SUV, the Hyper Adventure, so users can bring their jet skis and other electric rides on the road with them. The SUV’s interior boasts ample cargo space for outdoor equipment such as tents, skis, or even a kayak, and the rear bench seat can rotate 180 degrees on an axle to create a sitting area that faces out of the vehicle’s rear.

This particular feature includes automatic extendable and retractable steps that can be handy for users when they go out camping, get ready for a day of skiing, or enjoy scenic views on travel. Even the instrument panel is multipurpose as it is connected to the bottom of the windshield and serves as a screen with a wide field of view, making the body of the vehicle appear transparent while connecting the interior and exterior spaces of the sports SUV.

Sports SUV concept for snowy mountain paths

Nissan Hyper Adventure will be the second vehicle in the car company’s series of advanced electric-vehicle concepts set to debut at the Japan Mobility Show on October 25th. This specific sports SUV will be displayed digitally during the event, where attendees can see and learn more about the features Nissan plans to apply to the vehicle should it make it to production. One of these on-the-road features is that Nissan Hyper Adventure lives up to its name as it can traverse the snowiest mountain passes and the muddiest trails of a rainforest, thanks to its e-4ORCE all-wheel-control system and electric motors installed inside the tires.

Glancing at its exterior, the ice-cold blue catches attention, with design influences that may draw upon the snowcapped mountains and hills. Then, the Nissan Hyper Adventure embodies a vehicle design that makes it look like it is in motion, delineated by the diagonal line running along its side. For technicalities, this particular visual element allows the interior space to balloon too, giving a more spacious inside for the users.

The way Nissan plans to let the airflow move around the front of the car can help the sports SUV perform well in terms of aerodynamics. To tackle snow and tricky terrain, the car has features similar to snow traction gears on the wheels and bumpers in the front and back to help it brave through snowy areas.
